EksimorA textile factory, presented like a showroom.

Eksimor makes carpets, sofa covers, bed linen, and other home textiles in Kosovo and sells them to distributors and retailers abroad. We designed and built a website that shows the finished products first, then the factory behind them, with a catalogue for every range and five languages.

A factory had to feel like a showroom.

Eksimor’s customers are buyers for distributors and retailers in several countries. They want to see how the products look in a home, whether the factory can supply the volume they need, and how to get a full catalogue, often in a language other than English. The website had to show the scale of the factory without reading like an industrial brochure.

Nine product ranges

Carpets and rugs, decorative carpets, bath mats, sofa covers, bed sheets, blankets, quilt sets, towels, and PVC each need a place.

Five languages

Buyers read in English, German, Albanian, Turkish, and Serbian, and the whole interface has to change with them.

Trade, not retail

There are no prices and no basket. A visit succeeds when a company downloads a catalogue or sends an enquiry.

Three rules for every screen

Rooms before machines

Products appear in finished interiors first. The factory follows, on its own page.

Figures, not adjectives

Scale is stated as daily output a buyer can plan an order around.

One step to a catalogue

Every range is a single click from the main navigation.

The decisions behind the showroom

Four choices shaped how buyers meet Eksimor. For each one, what we chose, the usual alternative, and what it cost.

Show the product in a room, not on a shelf

The homepage opens on a furnished living room, with the headline set in Playfair Display and a single action to the collections. A buyer sees how a rug or a sofa cover looks at home before reading anything about the factory.

Usual approach
Open with the factory floor, or a grid of products photographed on white.
Trade-off
The factory, Eksimor’s real strength, moves further down. It gets its own Manufacturing page instead of competing with the products for the first screen.

  1. Four destinations in the navigation: products, catalogues, manufacturing, and the company.
  2. The headline sits over a finished room, set in Playfair Display.
  3. One action leads to the collections.

Put every catalogue one click away

Trade buyers compare whole ranges, not single products. Catalogues is a main navigation item, and each range opens as its own PDF in a new tab, ready to save or forward to a colleague who signs off the order.

Usual approach
A product database with a page per item, or a form to request a catalogue by email.
Trade-off
The catalogues are files that Eksimor updates outside the website, and what is inside a PDF does not appear on the website itself.

  1. Catalogues is in the main navigation, highlighted in green on its own page.
  2. Each range opens as its own PDF in a new tab.
  3. Every cover follows one template: range name, photograph, and logo.

State the capacity in figures

A buyer planning an order needs to know whether the factory can supply it. The products page gives daily output for each range, such as 2,000 square meters of carpet and 1,500 sets of bed sheets, set in the same serif as the headings so the figures read as facts, not decoration.

Usual approach
General claims such as “state-of-the-art facilities” without numbers.
Trade-off
Published figures have to be kept current as the factory changes, and a large buyer will still ask for details.
Daily production figures for carpets, bed sheets, quilt sets, bath mats, and decorative textiles
  1. Production sits under its own heading on the products page.
  2. Each range has a daily figure and a unit: square meters, sets, units, or pieces.
  3. Two short paragraphs explain how quality is checked.

Five languages behind one switch

Eksimor sells into several markets. The language menu sits beside Contact in the header and switches the whole page in place, between English, German, Albanian, Turkish, and Serbian, each marked with its flag.

Usual approach
English only, leaving translation to the visitor’s browser.
Trade-off
Every change to the copy has to be made five times. Because the language switches in place on one address, search engines index the English version.

  1. The menu sits beside Contact, where visitors look for it.
  2. The current language is highlighted in Eksimor green.
  3. Five languages, each marked with its flag.

Designed in Eksimor’s own colors

The products carry the color, so the interface stays quiet: black and white, a warm linen for the footer, and one deep green, taken from the logo, for whatever is selected. A serif for headings and figures gives the textiles the tone of a furniture catalogue.

Color

  • Eksimor green#006039
  • Ink#000000
  • Linen#F9F8F2
  • White#FFFFFF

Type

Headings and production figures are set in Playfair Display. Navigation, body text, and labels use Inter, so the serif is kept for what should feel crafted.

Components

One pill shape for every control: navigation, the language switch, and the black Contact button. The selected page turns green.

Built for how Eksimor sells

The details that do not show in a screenshot, but decide whether a buyer gets what they came for.

Five languages in place
Navigation, content, and footer change language together, and the menu highlights the one in use.
A catalogue library
Each range’s PDF is served from a separate catalogue address and opens in a new tab, so the website stays light.
An enquiry form for companies
Company name, name, email, and a message of up to 3,000 characters, with a counter so nobody loses text.
Find the factory
The homepage ends with the phone number, email, office address, and a map of the location in Gjilan.
