Trust has to come before the first visit.

People let a renovation team into their home on trust. Before they get in touch, they want to see finished rooms, know the team has done a job like theirs, and understand what is on offer. The website had to show that evidence quickly, on a phone as much as on a desktop.

Homes and businesses

The same team renovates bathrooms in houses and offices, kitchens, and classrooms for businesses and schools.

Four trades

Painting, bathrooms, carpentry, and full renovation, each with its own page.

A growing portfolio

Projects are added over time, so every project page has to follow the same structure.

Three rules for every screen

Proof first

Finished work and the track record come before claims about quality.

Same facts, every project

Type, surface, location, and completion date, in the same place each time.

One way in

Every page leads to the same short contact form.

The decisions behind the portfolio

Four choices shaped how visitors judge the work. For each one, what we chose, the usual alternative, and what it cost.

Put the track record in the first screen

The homepage sets the headline over a room in the middle of a renovation, with a single Contact us action and four figures along the bottom edge: years of experience, completed projects, satisfied clients, and the quality rating.

Usual approach
A slider of stock photographs with several competing buttons.
Trade-off
The figures need updating as the company grows, and the photograph is darkened so the white text stays readable.
Fast Home Fix homepage with the headline, Contact us button, and four figures
  1. One menu button keeps the first screen clear.
  2. The headline speaks to homeowners and businesses alike.
  3. A single action: Contact us.
  4. Four figures along the bottom of the first screen.

Label every project as residential or commercial

Homeowners and business owners look for different proof. Every project card is labeled Commercial or Residential in blue above its title, with a two-line summary and a link to the project’s own page.

Usual approach
One unlabeled grid of photographs.
Trade-off
Only two labels, so a project that is both has to be filed under one.
Project cards for Red FM, labeled Commercial, and a compact bathroom, labeled Residential
  1. Commercial or Residential, above every title.
  2. A two-line summary, cut cleanly.
  3. Learn more opens the project’s own page.

Give every project the same facts

Each project has its own page with an overview and four facts: type, surface, location, and completion date. A visitor can see that a 5 m² bathroom and a 180 m² commercial fit-out came from the same team.

Usual approach
A gallery of photographs without context.
Trade-off
Every new project needs these details collected, not just photographs.
Red FM project page with an overview and its type, surface, location, and completion date
  1. The client’s own image leads the project.
  2. A written overview of what was done.
  3. Type, surface, location, and completion date, in the same order on every project.

Ask where the job is

Fast Home Fix works around Cork. The contact form asks for the location of the job alongside a name, an email, and a message, and the example text shows the format expected. Phone, email, and address sit beside the form for people who would rather call.

Usual approach
A name, email, and message form only.
Trade-off
One more field to fill in. In return, the first reply can already say whether the job is in reach.
Fast Home Fix contact form with name, email, location, and message fields
  1. Phone, email, and address beside the form.
  2. The location of the job, with Cork, Ireland as the example.
  3. One full-width Submit button in the brand blue.

Designed in Fast Home Fix’s own colors

A bright blue from the logo for every action, near-black and white for everything else, and rounded corners throughout, from the hero to the project cards. Photographs carry the warmth; the interface stays out of the way.

Color

  • Fast Home blue#0F61FF
  • Ink#00050A
  • Text#333333
  • White#FFFFFF

Type

Plus Jakarta Sans throughout, semibold for headings and regular for text. Short labels such as Services or Testimonials sit above headings in the blue.

Components

Every call to action pairs a blue pill with a round arrow button, so the same shape means “get in touch” on every page.
